Moses Circle Senior Apartments
Moses Circle Senior Apartments offers 31 units of affordable senior housing, a project funded through the NYS DHCR 2011 Unified Funding round with a combination of Federal 9% Low-Income Housing Tax Credits (LIHTC) and HOME Funds. Originally planned as a renovation of a long-vacant hospital building, the project shifted to new construction due to structural issues, while carefully preserving the architectural essence of the historic Moses-Ludington Hospital, a cherished landmark in Ticonderoga.
The community features 31 one-bedroom units, including 15 with Project-Based Section 8 assistance, ensuring accessibility and affordability for senior residents. Designed with a community-oriented focus, Moses Circle Senior Apartments includes a variety of amenities such as a community room, laundry room, exercise room, computer lab, and rental office.
Emphasizing sustainability and energy efficiency, the development exceeds NYS HCR guidelines for Green and Energy Efficiency. Residents enjoy high-quality finishes, ENERGY STAR appliances, and individual climate controls, contributing to a comfortable and eco-friendly living environment. Completed in October 2013, Moses Circle Senior Apartments continues to offer a welcoming and efficient home for its residents.
