Liberty Opens 4th Fitness Center

Earlier this year, Liberty Affordable Housing, Inc. opened its fourth Senior Fitness Center at the Mohawk Terrace Senior Apartments located in Amsterdam, NY. Residents of the 68-unit property now have the benefit of a brand new facility equipped with cardiovascular and resistance equipment right on site. There are no usage fees or charges, as Liberty considers the Center as an important enhancement to resident quality of life.

The Center offers individualized fitness instruction and guidance by a fully certified professional with experience in working with seniors.

Once a resident obtains physician clearance and signs a participation release, he/she is evaluated and customized exercise program is designed with that person’s goals and capabilities in mind.

Another vital component of the Wellness Program available to all Mohawk Terrace residents is a series of free informational programs on nutrition, diabetes, heart health, and a host of other topics.

Liberty has set as one of its goals of a Fitness Center incorporated at all of its future Senior projects whether rehab or new construction.
