Knitting Mill Apartments Receives Preservation Award

Congratulations to Knitting Mill Apartments in Fall River for receiving a 2022 Paul & Niki Tsongas Award! The Tsongas Award is Preservation Massachusetts' highest honor, honoring people and projects that have displayed the highest level of commitment to historic preservation in the Commonwealth. Named for the award's first recipient, Senator Paul Tsongas, it was expanded in 2016 to include the contributions of Congresswoman Niki Tsongas to preservation efforts across all of Massachusetts. It was truly an honor to be recognized as the only out-of-state developer and management company in the state of Mass.

Knitting Mill Apartments Hosts Grand Opening

In October, 2019 Liberty's Knitting Mill Apartments in Fall River Massachusetts officially hosted its Grand Opening and welcomed their new residents. In celebration of this event, many local and state leaders and representatives were on hand to participate in the occasion. They joined with Liberty staff, consultants and Board representatives to celebrate Liberty’s first ever project in the state of Massachusetts, converting a former knitting mill constructed over a 120 years ago into 100 units of affordable senior housing, a senior center for the community and a health education and wellness center.

Knitting Mill Apartments Breaks Ground

On December 15, 2017 Liberty marked the groundbreaking of its Knitting Mill Apartments in Fall River Massachusetts. Many local and state leaders and representatives were on hand to participate in the occasion. They joined with Liberty staff, consultants and Board representatives to kick off Liberty’s first ever out of New York State project which will convert a former knitting mill constructed over a 120 years ago into 100 units of affordable senior housing, a senior center for the community and a health education and wellness center.

Liberty Adds Two New Board Members

Mary Rhoades and Michael B. Britton Jr., both residents of Liberty’s Camden Senior Apartments property in Camden, NY, have joined the Board of Directors of Liberty Affordable Housing. They will serve as resident directors whose role is to provide insight and perspective to the Board from a resident point of view.
