Liberty Grants Make a Difference

Now entering its fourth year, the Liberty Grant program has had a significant impact for residents of the Kennedy Plaza Apartments. Qualifying residents who are in good standing and have no other form of rental subsidy can receive a grant of up to $195/month.

Applications are submitted to a Committee made up of Liberty Board members and staff for review.  The overall goal is to provide help to residents who are good tenants and are seeking to improve their job status and economic condition. Each recipient is regularly monitored for continued compliance with Grant guidelines.

At its most recent meeting, the Liberty Board of Directors voted unanimously to authorize extension of the program for another year and allocated up to $50,000 available for grant distribution.
