We forge productive and mutually beneficial partnerships with numerous banks, equity syndicators, and special lenders (such as NBT Bank, N.A.; The Community Preservation Corporation; WNC & Associates, Inc.; Raymond James Tax Credit Funds, Inc.; Great Lakes Capital Fund; and First Sterling Financial, Inc.). These partnerships stand ready to provide construction and permanent financing with minimal red tape.
We have been established as a Community Housing Development Organization or “CHDO.” This provides us with more options for funding in the form of federal, state and local government programs. A CHDO is a special nonprofit community-based service organization whose purpose is to develop and provide affordable housing.
We also have an excellent working relationship with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), and New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR), along with a number of other federal and state agencies.
